Having outgrown their current office space, Kinsale Insurance began considering their next home in 2017; we were able to identify a promising 5-acre parcel and facilitated the rezoning to allow for a 150,000 square foot office building, 640 car parking deck and a 262 unit multi-family project.

We worked with Kinsale to develop the overall strategy for this property that provided a best-value solution for Kinsale and created collaborative space for their workforce as they continue to grow. Through an extremely efficient floor plan, we maximized leased areas and employee count per floor so that the financial structure was profitable at then current market rental rates.

The new Kinsale building is playing an integral role in the redevelopment of the Westwood District, which is poised to become the next thriving mixed-use neighborhood in Henrico County and is the gateway to the City of Richmond.
